Kripalu Outdoors Mindful Archery Retreat

AIM FOR A DEEPER CONNECTION

Journey into the spiritual practice of intuitive archery with lead Kripalu faculty Micah Mortali. A lifelong archer, Micah will bring you on a journey and guide you through the fundamentals of instinctive shooting. Similar to throwing a baseball, instinctive archery invites you to aim with your attention—allowing your whole being to become absorbed in the process. This practice is perfect for those who have always dreamed of drawing a bow and are looking for a dynamic, meditative practice with deep ancestral memory.

In this exciting outdoor intensive, you learn:

  • The history of archery, as well as different styles and philosophical approaches including the ancient Vedic philosophy of Dhanurveda, Way of the Bow
  • The basic anatomy of the bow and arrow
  • The fundamentals of safe shooting
  • What trees and local materials make good bows and arrows
  • How to integrate breathwork to enhance your skill as an archer

Discover how archery can become a regular personal practice to help you achieve mindful awareness and a greater connection with the natural world.

NOTE Kripalu will provide bow and arrow equipment for this program. Guests should bring appropriate clothing and gear to be outside for extended periods of time. Additional information about what to bring.
