Dance into Joy A New Year’s Celebration

LET THE BODY & BREATH LEAD YOU

Dance is one of our most ancient, transformative rituals. From the whirling dervish to the Shakers, from the waltz to the rave, people have danced for joy, cleansing, and clarity. As the previous year draws to a close, come sweat, let go of the past, and make space for a new beginning.

Join experienced yoga and dance teachers Jurian Hughes and Jovinna Chan and dance into the New Year among a sacred community of celebrants. Jurian and Jovinna will expertly guide you to:

  • Explore ecstatic movement and deep stillness.
  • Cleanse from your core through your pores.
  • Free and refresh the mind, and get into your body fully.
  • Rely on your body’s wisdom to inform your new direction.

Through an alchemical combination of movement, relaxation, meditation, reflection and journaling, you gain clarity about the past year’s journey and how to intuit your way forward. The afternoon session on New Year’s Eve culminates in a ritual celebration anchoring your new intentions. On New Year’s Day, a community blessing affirms your reenergized relationship with yourself, your work, and your dharma.

NOTE No dance or yoga experience is required. Please bring layers, comfortable clothing, and two small objects from nature—one to represent what you are letting go of, and one to represent what you are calling in for the New Year.
