Allen Wilkins

Allen Wilkins, MD, is medical director at New York Rehabilitation Medicine, where he collaborates with yoga therapist Terry Roth Schaff in using yoga to treat patients. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal medicine and non-surgical orthopedic and neurologic issues, and has coauthored multiple peer-reviewed research articles and textbooks in his specialty. Allen received his medical degree from a combined program at Dartmouth College and Brown University, and did his orthopedic surgery residency at Brown. His interest in nonsurgical treatment of musculoskeletal disorders led him to a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School. He practices yoga and martial arts, including tae kwon do and kung fu.
