Sue Johnson

Sue Johnson, EdD, is a clinical psychologist, researcher, author, popular speaker, and leading innovator in the field of couples therapy. She holds professorships at the University of Ottawa and Alliant University in San Diego, California. Sue is one of the originators and the main proponent of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, a powerful intervention to help couples build and repair strong, loving bonds. She is also the director of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute and the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.
