Louise Montello

Louise Montello, DA, LP, LCAT, MT-BC, is a practicing psychoanalyst, music therapist, and award-winning author of Essential Musical Intelligence. A former research scientist in the psychology department of New York University, Louise is an internationally acclaimed authority on music and healing. She has published numerous articles on her depth-oriented music therapy approach for trauma recovery in peer-reviewed journals, and has presented professional trainings on the topic throughout the world for more than 10 years. She is a jazz pianist/composer, and maintains a private practice in psychodynamic music therapy and supervision in New York City.
