Daniel Goleman, PhD, a psychologist and journalist, has reported on the brain and behavioral sciences for the New York Times. He is author of the international best-seller Emotional Intelligence and cofounder of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning. He has written about yoga, meditation, and mind-body medicine in several books, including The Meditative Mind, Destructive Emotions: How We Can Overcome Them, an account of a dialogue between the Dalai Lama and a group of neuroscientists, and, most recently, in Social Intelligence.
