Karla Jackson-Brewer

Karla Jackson-Brewer, MS, has been a student of Lama Tsultrim Allione for 30 years. She is an authorized Tara Mandala teacher, and has traveled with Lama Tsultrim on pilgrimage to Tibet and Bali. Karla has been practicing Chöd for 29 years and has assisted Lama Tsultrim on many Chöd retreats. For the past four years she has taught Chöd at Tara Mandala with Chandra Easton. In October 2012, Karla received the Chöd empowerment from His Holiness, the 17th Karmapa, Orgyen Trinley Dorje. She is a founder of Sine Qua Non: Allies in Healing, an integrative therapy practice in New York City and is an adjunct professor in the Women’s and Gender Studies and Africana Studies Departments at Rutgers University. A public speaking and emotional intelligence coach, Karla is an initiated priest in the West African spiritual tradition of Ifa.
