Faculty
All of our yoga teacher training directors have been practicing, teaching, and living Kripalu Yoga for at least 25 years. They are extraordinary guides with passion for yoga and a deep commitment to the wisdom and practice of the Kripalu path. Each program has at least one primary teacher from our dynamic yoga teaching faculty. In addition, a variety of experienced teachers may lead portions of the curriculum, so students benefit from a wide range of expert skills, approaches, and techniques.
We asked some of our YTT faculty what excites them about training teachers. Their responses were as unique as they are.

Learning to love the endless, messy learning process that living offers is the goal of yoga, or union. This is the yoga/union of infinite creation, and something I want to pass on to those on the path of becoming yoga teachers. |

For almost 30 years my personal mission has been to offer a joyous merging of yoga and dance to thousands of people. I want my students to become authentic, congruent dancers of life. In Kripalu Yoga Teacher Training, I teach yogis to cherish themselves and one another through the practice of metta, or loving-kindness. My vision is planetary healing through my credo: “I haven’t come to teach you but to love you, and the love alone will teach you.” |

I want to inspire the teacher within each student to explore their own wild inner landscape and find that sacred stillness from which all wisdom emerges. |

The guiding principle in all my work is to practice and inspire authenticity and full self-expression. As a teacher, I am always hoping to help people connect to that which moves them deeply and brings them joy. |

Teaching allows me to share the tools, practices, insights, and wisdom that have guided me in living this precious life. Leading a teacher training is an opportunity for me to invite students to get to know themselves in the most intimate, authentic, and loving way. It excites me to watch them transform as they learn to share their gifts and take them out into the world to help others transform. |

Kripalu Teacher Training offers students the opportunity to come into an intimate relationship with themselves. It lights me up to be a guide on this journey of awareness. I want students to feel safe to dive deeply into their bodies, minds, and hearts, to explore the possibilities in each moment, to pay attention to the subtleties of life, and to realize that they are truly compassionate beings. I love being along for the ride, cheering and coaching them at each turn. |

Nothing, and I mean nothing, fulfills me more than seeing a teacher take his or her place in the world. It is my belief that teachers are “called.” I consider it a sacred privilege to play a part in a teacher fulfilling his or her call. |
