The Yoga Ed.™ Professional Institute is a comprehensive training program designed for individuals inspired to integrate yoga for children and teens into academic environments.
The institute’s curriculum focuses on the evidence-based physical, mental, and emotional benefits that yoga can provide for children and teens. Upon completion of the institute’s programs, educators are fully equipped to help students build a lifetime of health and wellness through the practice of yoga.
This training focuses on teaching children ages 3 to 12 (pre-kindergarten to grade 5) and is certified by the Yoga Alliance.
- Basic principles and tools needed to effectively teach yoga to children in an academic environment
- Yoga techniques that promote children’s physical, mental, and emotional health
- Ways of relating to children through the understanding of child development, anatomy, physiology, and learning domains.
You emerge from this training with the ability to effectively tailor yoga classes to meet the varying needs of children.
Note Tuition includes a manual. In order to become certified as a Yoga Ed. Educator and/or certified with the Yoga Alliance, you must complete a 200-hour teacher training (any lineage) and complete Professional Institute 1 and 2.
