The Viniyoga™ Perspective

Viniyoga is an approach to yoga that adapts the various techniques and methods of practice to the unique condition, needs, and interests of each individual. It aims to give practitioners the tools needed to individualize and actualize the process of self-discovery and personal transformation. Gary Kraftsow evolved this approach from the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T. K. V. Desikachar.

These workshops explore the outer and inner goals of asana, pranayama, and meditation from the Viniyoga perspective. Join Gary for all three programs, or take the one that most interests you.

Pranayama: Optimizing Physiology

Dive into the realm of pranayama, where your emphasis is on the outer goals of increasing vitality, improving sleep, enhancing energy, managing stress, stimulating immune response, and influencing sympathetic and parasympathetic regulation to optimize physiological processes. Gary also pays appropriate attention to the inner goals of building prana shakti, directing agni for purification, balancing the emotions, and clarifying the mind. Explore how to adapt and individualize pranayama to help you achieve these goals and go even deeper with Gary’s teachings on and practice of bandhas.

Combine two back-to-back programs or all three of Gary’s August programs for a ten percent tuition discount for each program. Please call to register.
