Full Bio & Programs
For medical professionals, athletic trainers, yoga therapists, yoga teachers, yoga practitioners, and people living with any of the medical conditions addressed in this workshop.
Regain spinal alignment, improve your posture, and acquire additional muscle tone, flexibility, and abdominal strength while cultivating a peaceful connection between your body and mind. Medical doctor and physiatrist Loren Fishman and yoga therapist Terry Schaff show you how to keep your spine healthy through yoga poses you can practice at home. These poses open up restricted joints, stretch tight muscles, and strengthen weak ones. Breathwork and relaxation exercises help you to feel grounded, rejuvenated, and refreshed.
There are specific yoga postures to practice if you have spinal stenosis, herniated disks in your lower back or neck, degenerative disk disease, spinal arthritis, osteoporosis of the spine, sacroiliac joint issues, sciatica, scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, hyperkyphosis, or hyperlordosis, as well as particular poses to avoid with each of these conditions.
You can stay on for an additional three days of yoga practice with Terry Schaff (Yoga Sequences, Breathing Techniques, and Meditation to Unlock Your Spine) to address each of these spinal conditions, building an understanding of the dos and don’ts of each condition. Come learn yoga sequences to keep your spine in optimal health.
