Do you have a rich inner life and vivid dreams? Are you conscientious, highly intuitive, and aware of subtleties? Are you bothered by loud noises, deadlines, rude people? Sensitive to pain, medications, and caffeine?

If so, you’re probably a Highly Sensitive Person, or HSP. (If you aren’t sure, take the self-test at www.hsperson.com.) Twenty percent of us are born with this trait—as many men as women.

In this workshop, you

  • Learn about, and appreciate, the trait
  • Explore the latest scientific research
  • Meet other HSPs—often a life-changing experience
  • Develop coping strategies for overstimulation
  • Improve your relationships with non-HSPs
  • Gain insight about your career and work environment
  • Reframe your past and re-vision your future in light of your sensitivity.

This is Elaine Aron’s only public appearance on the East Coast in 2014. A rich source of knowledge about HSPs, she aims to make this a weekend of deep connection.

Recommended reading Elaine Aron, The Highly Sensitive Person, The Highly Sensitive Person in Love, or The Highly Sensitive Person Workbook (all from Broadway Books).
