For all rowing enthusiasts, from recreational to competition level, with 3 months of rowing experience; no previous yoga experience necessary.

Would you be surprised to learn that beyond the challenge and competition that rowing offers, there is a mindful state of fearlessness and power just waiting to be discovered? Ed Harrold’s program incorporates optimal performance strategies drawn from the yoga tradition and specially tailored for rowing enthusiasts. Ed’s approach maximizes performance by creating a “body-over-mind” atmosphere that harnesses the wisdom of the body and uses yogic breathing techniques to optimize fitness.

You will learn:

  • Techniques designed for indoor or outdoor rowing to enhance cardiovascular and respiratory systems without the wear and tear of normal ergometer workouts
  • Cross-patterning yoga sequences specific to rowing that enhance body awareness and recalibrate the neuromuscular system
  • Behavioral cognitive training that guarantees optimal performance
  • New state-of-the-art ergometer training sequences.

Ed’s workout is based on his Flexibility for Athletes training that improves performance by increasing energy, vigor, stamina, and endurance by inducing a built-in relaxation response that makes each workout feel like meditation-in-motion. Note This program will be held indoors using rowing machines supplied by Concept2 (new 2006 Model Ds with PM3 Monitors).
