Program Details

For yoga teachers and exercise and health professionals only; no yoga experience necessary.

This workshop is for those who want to introduce themselves, their students, and their clients to greater depth and consciousness of movement. The focus will be on hip openers, core, and safe spinal rotation. You will challenge and “surprise” your bones in safe and therapeutic ways, as you learn

  • How to initiate movement from the inside out
  • To move along a continuum from least to most spinal compression
  • Awareness of the effect of gravity on movement
  • Meeks Yoga Prep™
  • Classical and adapted yoga postures using the bones as guides
  • The Mermaid Series™
  • Safe and contraindicated movement for osteoporosis
  • Osteoporosis myths and facts.

Diagnosed with osteoporosis herself, Sara Meeks brings a unique perspective to the subject of bone health, with years of experience creating profound personal and professional change for people.

Note Wear loose, comfortable clothing, and bring clothes for one outdoor experience. Tuition includes materials fees for a course manual, handouts, and EZ Posture Pillow®.
