The Viniyoga™ Perspective

Viniyoga is an approach to yoga that adapts the various techniques and methods of practice to the unique condition, needs, and interests of each individual. It aims to give practitioners the tools needed to individualize and actualize the process of self-discovery and personal transformation. Gary Kraftsow evolved this approach from the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T. K. V. Desikachar.

These workshops explore the outer and inner goals of asana, pranayama, and meditation from the Viniyoga perspective. Join Gary for all three programs, or take the one that most interests you.

Asana: Optimizing Structure

In this foundational workshop, Gary focuses on the means and methods of achieving both the outer and the inner goals of asana. The outer goals include alignment, stability, appropriate range of motion, resilience, symmetry, and functional movement patterns. Inner goals include cultivating awareness of the central channel, increasing and directing the flow of prana in the nadis, and strengthening agni, the inner fire. Learn how to adapt and individualize asana practice to help you achieve these goals.

Combine two back-to-back programs or all three of Gary’s August programs for a ten percent tuition discount for each program. Please call to register.
