For everyone, including beginners, in good physical shape.

Join David Swenson, one of the world’s foremost instructors of Ashtanga Yoga, for an introductory workshop on the foundations of Ashtanga Yoga and the general flow of Ashtanga practice. He has designed a weekend that offers gifts for beginners and experienced students alike.

David likes to explore what he calls “the invisible practice” before moving into “the visible practice.” The invisible realm of Ashtanga Yoga includes ujjayi breathing and the internal energy locks known as bandhas. In the visible world of posture practice, David breaks Ashtanga vinyasa down into components that he refers to as “the physics of flight.” Gain greater insight into this intriguing and challenging aspect of the Ashtanga Yoga system through partner work and theory.

As always, David’s workshop is infused with humor and fun as well as strong practice and enlightening explanations. Come explore the possibilities!
