Erika Rosenberg

Erika Rosenberg, PhD, is a world-renowned expert in the facial expressions of emotion, an emotions researcher, and meditation teacher. At the University of California, Davis, she is a senior investigator on the Shamatha Project, a multidisciplinary study of the effects of intensive meditation. Erika is a senior teacher at Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education, where she contributed substantially to the development of the Compassion Cultivation Training program. She also serves on the faculty at the Nyingma Institute of Tibetan Studies in Berkeley, California, where she specializes in classes on emotion. Erika is coauthor of Psychology: Perspectives and Connections and numerous scientific articles and chapters on facial expression, emotion, and meditation.
