Alyson Ross

Alyson Ross is a nurse researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She holds an MSN degree in psychiatric mental-health nursing from Vanderbilt University, and a doctor of philosophy degree from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She was awarded predoctoral and postdoctoral intramural research fellowships at the NIH Clinical Center, where she currently works for the Department of Nursing Research and Translational Science. Her research focuses on the impact of health behaviors, particularly mind-body interventions such as yoga, on stress in both family and professional caregivers. A certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, Alyson has studied yoga for more than 25 years and has lectured and published extensively on the health benefits of yoga.
