Erik Groessl

Erik Groessl, PhD, received his clinical psychology doctorate in 1999 from the SDSU/UCSD joint doctoral program with a specialization in behavioral medicine/ health psychology. He is an associate professor of family medicine and public health at the University of California San Diego, director of the UCSD Health Services Research Center, and serves as a principal investigator and health services researcher at the VA San Diego Medical Center. Erik’s research focuses on the benefits of yoga interventions in chronic pain populations, military personnel and veterans, and older adults.
