Ronnie Roc is a multipercussionist, keyboardist, and producer, steeped in the rhythms and history of African, Brazilian, Haitian, and Afro-Cuban music. Currently on staff with Alvin Ailey’s Arts and Education program, he conducts percussion workshops and accompanies dance classes and workshops. He has taught African djembe drumming at the Drummers Collective in New York City and percussion workshops for children and adults in the New York City and Oakland, California, school systems. Ronnie is currently playing percussion for saxophonist Dave Mullin, and leads his own band, AFRAZZ, combining African rhythms with jazz melody. Ronnie’s passion and mission is to teach, perform, create, and share his great love for music, drumming, and healing.
