Alberto Villoldo
Alberto Villoldo, PhD, is a medical anthropologist and psychologist who has studied and practiced shamanism in the Andes and Amazon for more than two decades. He was initiated by the last of the Incan shaman masters. In 1984 he founded the Four Winds Society, dedicated to bridging ancient shamanic healing practices with modern medicine and psychology. A former faculty member at San Francisco State University, he is the author of Shaman, Healer, Sage and Mending the Past and Healing the Future with Soul Retrieval. www.thefourwinds.com
