Trained in Iyengar and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, he has been a student of Tibetan Buddhist Dzogchen practice since 2003, studying with Tsoknyi Rinpoche. Tias has practiced Zen since 1995 and has been studying koans with Roshi Joan Sutherland for the past two years. His teaching specializes in yoga and anatomy, blending both Western and Eastern perspectives. Tias is a massage therapist, has extensively studied cranial-sacral therapy and Sensory Awareness Training, and earned a master’s degree in Eastern Philosophy from St. John’s College. He currently directs Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with his wife, Surya, and leads yoga intensives nationally and internationally.
