Thomas Moore

Thomas Moore, PhD, is the author of Care of the Soul and sixteen other books on spirituality and soulful living. He spent 13 years as a young man in the Servites, a monastic-style Catholic religious order. He has been a psychotherapist for thirty years, writing about and practicing archetypal psychology. Because of his deep appreciation for the world’s spiritual traditions, especially Buddhism, he often refers to himself as a “Zen Catholic.” His latest book, Writing in the Sand, won the 2010 Books for a Better Life award for “Best Spiritual Book” in the 2010 and brings together his knowledge of religion and depth psychology to present a fresh interpretation that accents the unique spirituality in the Gospels. www.careofthesoul.net
