John de Kadt

John de Kadt is a percussionist and poet who has played ethnic hand-percussion instruments for more than 25 years. He has studied with percussion masters around the world and plays drums from India, Ireland, Turkey, Switzerland, Brazil, Egypt, Africa, and Cuba. John has performed on NBC and PBS, and with Steve Gorn, Glen Velez, Subash Chandran, Robert Bly, Krishna Das, Baba Olatunde, and others. He tours nationally with the alternative world beat ensemble HuDost. His CD This Rhythm Is Not Mine has received excellent reviews, and his latest CD, Eight, is due out this spring. www.johndekadt.com
