Elise Browning Miller

Elise Browning Miller, MA, is a certified senior Iyengar Yoga teacher (CIYT) and is also certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (C-IAYT). She holds a master’s degree in therapeutic recreation from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Elise has been teaching yoga throughout the United States and internationally for more than 30 years. A founding director of California Yoga Center in Mountain View, California, Elise has successfully used yoga to minimize the effects of her own scoliosis. She has published numerous articles on scoliosis, back care, and other yoga-related subjects in Yoga Journal and other national magazines. Elise studied with the Iyengars in India and specializes in scoliosis, back problems, and sports-related injuries. She coauthored a comprehensive book, Yoga for Scoliosis: A Path for Students and Teachers, as well as the DVD Yoga for Scoliosis, the Yoga for Back Care booklet, and other publications.
