Dunya Dianne McPherson

Dunya Dianne McPherson, BFA, MA, is a master of embodied spirituality. Juilliard-trained, founder of Dancemeditation, and director of the Dervish Society of America, Dunya’s visionary teaching is featured at universities and festivals worldwide including: Holland’s Mystik Festival, Swarthmore, Oberlin, Barnard, New York Univesity, and Princeton University. She is a National Endowment for the Arts Choreography Fellow whose work has been critically acclaimed by the New York Times, Village Voice, and Dance Magazine. Her literary memoir, Skin of Glass: Finding Spirit in the Flesh, chronicles her intense training with an Iraqi Sufi master and the unfolding of her path of dance and mysticism. www.dancemeditation.org
