David Frawley

David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) is author of more than 30 books on yoga, Ayurveda, and Vedic astrology. He is director of the American Institute of Vedic Studies in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and also teaches in Europe and South America as well as in India, where his work is highly regarded in traditional circles. David is one of the few westerners recognized in India as a Vedacharya or authentic Vedic teacher. He is regarded as a pioneer of Ayurvedic medicine in the West, particularly as aligned with broader Vedic disciplines and deeper yoga practices.
