Catherine Calderon
Catherine Calderon has been on the path of yoga and dance for more than 30 years. A filmmaker, registered yoga teacher, professional salsa dancer, and initiated priestess in the Afro-Cuban Yoruba tradition, she performed with Tito Puente and Celia Cruz at the famed Apollo Theater. The owner of Shambhala Yoga & Dance Center in Brooklyn, New York, Catherine has studied many traditions, including tantra and Anusara Yoga, Taoist healing practices, and modern, jazz, and ballet dancing. She produced and directed a PBS documentary about Latin dance titled A Bailar! www.shambhalayogadance.com
