Angela Farmer

Angela Farmer was one of B. K. S. Iyengar’s earliest students, studying with him over a period of 10 years, both in Pune, India, and on his annual visits to London. During three extensive trips to India, she met and practiced with remarkable yogis and had a life-changing experience at a temple in Orissa, India, that initiated a feminine approach to her yoga. Her journey for more than 40 years has been an internal one, undoing rather than doing yoga, letting go instead of striving to achieve, and slowly reclaiming parts of herself that had long been hidden or forgotten due to early trauma and injury. Her approach invites inner dialogue with the body and brings feeling, movement, and freedom to yoga practice.
