Recorded in tracks to allow for a customized experience, it includes just over an hour of back, belly-down, and seated postures and an 11-minute relaxation, all of which can be practiced on a bed as well as the floor. Sacred Awakening Deep relaxation coupled with alert awareness is the goal of Yoga Nidra, a goal Lisa beautifully accomplishes with a guided experience that includes a body scan, affirmations, color visualizations, and chanting. The CD also features a centering and a section of gentle movement, after which practitioners can pause the disc to insert their own pranayama or asana sequences before returning to the 28-minute Yoga Nidra practice and closing. Pierre's DVD features a full guided experience and a tutorial section with easy-to-follow directions for whirling, leg raises, the Camel pose, crab lifts, and Upward and Downward Dog as well as a sixth exercise, uddiyana bandha.
