Childcare Provider
Part-time—Temporary
Kripalu Center is looking for fun, responsible, energetic people to work as childcare providers. The ideal candidates will be imaginative and willing to entertain children with art projects, games, and innovative learning techniques. First Aid and CPR certification is required, but we are willing to train the right applicants.
Responsibilities include supervising the children and maintaining order in the playroom. Must be available to work weekends and evenings.

Community Development Internship
Two internships available.
Designed for individuals interested in community development, resident assistance, and/or administering volunteer program/community management.
The intern serves as a resident leader in the Karma Yoga Volunteer Program. The Volunteer program provides curriculum, seva, and resident life that is supportive to self-inquiry through the study of yoga on and off the mat. Interns will take part in ongoing training to develop and refine the art of powerful communication and problem solving skills. Through the yoga of leadership, Interns will explore yoga as a method for self-inquiry and self actualization. And what it means to bring thought, word and action into alignment with core values.
Interns are trained and mentored in a number of areas, including
- Residential Leadership/Assistance
- Liaison between volunteer residents and program staff
- Lead resident community building activities to build connection and moral
- Address residential needs as they arise, including, but not limited to: maintenance request, interpersonal disputes, dorm cleanliness.
- Life guarding/emergency response training
- Waterfront Life Guard Certification
- CPR trained/certified
- Community Development and Administration
- Coordinate volunteer activities
- Support volunteer events
- General office administration
- Community building projects.
Guest Services Manager
Full-time
Guest Services at Kripalu Center provide the basis of connection to guests outside of program and workshop experiences. Through the Front Desk, Guest Services is the first point of in-person contact, and this department ensures an excellent experience for guests throughout their stay and also represents Kripalu’s mission, core values, and brand to guests. The Mailroom and Childcare areas work in alignment with the Front Desk to provide service.
The Guest Services Manager leads the Guest Services team in anticipating needs and surpassing expectations, from pre-arrival requests and check-in, through the duration of stay, and post-stay. The manager directs administrative, financial, safety, and all guest service related activities in ways that generate high levels of customer satisfaction and engagement and staff productivity and fulfillment. An ability to build positive and lasting relationships with guests and staff, a professional and gracious demeanor, attention to detail, superior communication skills, and an innovative spirit are essential.

Kripalu Shop Product Specialist
Full-time
Responsible person needed to handle all aspects of buying for busy retail store. This person will purchase all general product and program related materials for the Kripalu Shop. Responsibilities include
- Using creativity in product selection and purchasing based on customer expectations
- Purchasing of program related materials
- Coordinating and overseeing merchandising
- Maintaining and ensuring appropriate inventory levels
- Creating purchase orders
- Interfacing with vendors and ensuring their related files are organized and maintained
- Other duties as requested.
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of purchasing, merchandising, and budgeting experience, as well as POS knowledge, computer skills (including Microsoft Office products), and retail experience. This position requires an organized and detail-oriented person with good time management and negotiation skills, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work in a busy environment.
Kripalu Shop Sales Associate
Part-time
The Kripalu Shop is seeking a mature, customer service-oriented person to become a member of our dynamic team. The successful candidate will display a positive attitude and be flexible and reliable. Must be available to work weekends and some evenings. Previous customer service experience helpful.
Prep Cook
Full-time
Kripalu is seeking a dynamic team-oriented prep cook who thrives (in) a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include assisting chefs in meal preparation from a designed menu, as well as maintaining proper safety and sanitation practices. Requires the ability to stand; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and taste or smell. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs; frequently lift/and or move up to 25 lbs; and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Position includes weekend work.
