Room Options

life can be simpler than you think.

Kripalu offers you this simplicity with time away from your daily routine, activities, and surroundings. Our facility was once a Jesuit seminary, so in the tradition of retreat-style housing, our accommodations are simple, without the distractions of televisions, telephones, etc. We offer a range of housing options that allow a wide variety of people to participate in our programs.

Standard Plus Rooms
These quiet, private rooms are perfect for those who want a real retreat. The rooms include simple décor, a double or queen-size bed, or twin beds. Some rooms are situated near hall bathrooms, while others include a private bath.

Standard Rooms
These spare and peaceful rooms measure 8’ x 12’ and include a double or queen-size bed or platform twin beds. Hall bathrooms are nearby.

Note We have a limited number of full- and queen-size beds for the above rooms; please register early to ensure bed choice.

Dormitory
These accommodations provide an opportunity to meet people from all over. The dorms allow for 6–22 people per room, and offer simple bunk beds and nearby hall bathrooms. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee lower bunks. If you cannot use an upper bunk please choose another type of housing.

Linens

We provide bedding and basic bath linens. You will need to make your own bed. There is no daily housekeeping service. For stays of 10 days or longer, linen packets are replaced weekly.

In Standard Plus Rooms, towels are replaced daily, and linens are replaced after 10 days.

Solo Travelers

If you’re coming alone and reserve a shared room, you will be assigned a roommate of the same sex.

If you snore

If you’re a solo traveler who snores, we offer special accommodations. Please request such a room when you register.

Kids at Kripalu

We have a certain number of rooms that are suitable for guests with children. Information on housing rates, child care, kids programs, and teens at Kripalu can be found on our Families with Children/Teens page.

Commuters

Most programs have a limited number of commuter spaces available. Like all guests, commuters must register for programs in advance through Kripalu Registration. Some blockout periods apply.

The non-optional commuter fee of $50 per day (for guests not staying at Kripalu) includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and covers the overhead costs for your use of Kripalu’s amenities and services, including daily yoga and YogaDance classes, evening events, sauna and whirlpool, fitness room, lakefront area, trails, and parking.
